FF #6

Feature & Follow is a weekly meme hosted by Alison Can Read and Parajunkee. This weeks question is:

Q: What drove you to start book blogging in the first place?

Honestly, I haven't really been blogging about books... but I started blogging about writing because I would read other blogs that really helped me. I started blogging on my own to help get my words/experiences out there, just like they did/do. (I'm not sure where I found those first writing blogs. Possibly on Inkpop before the merge.)

As for books, now I think I will, simply from this question and the sheer number of book blogs that I follow. Now I'm excited about it - over the weekend, I'll mess about with the blog and add a rating system and other stuff. I'm thinking of devoting Mondays or Wednesdays to a book review. Any comments or suggestions?

Have a blessed Friday and keep writing! <3

  1. Hi Danielle!
Yeah, the Snape one was more bittersweet than funny, but it's my favourite of the bunch. You've got your own share of awesome photos :D I totally love the first two. My mum is always asking why I'm reading the same book over and over and over (it's Harry Potter, that's why!)

It's great that you're blogging about writing and reading, as they're like sister topics. I'm frightened to talk about writing because I have such a massive base of book blogger followers, you know? I'd say go for it. There are lots of Monday and Wednesday memes, but either day works. AH! I've just got a new rating system (trees) and it's really exciting. I've just been using stars, and not images, but just writing "stars: 5" or something. I'm typing an essay, I should probably stop. Haha :D Thanks for stopping by! I love old followers :)

  2. Danielle! *squee bounce*
Yeah that's right, I just squee bounced all over your page and I don't really know you. lol If you aren't feeling special right now, you might wanna consider doing it soon. I can count down for ya, if you'd like. ;)P

OKay, lets get down to business! I love your answer and I am curious to find these blogs on writing. Lord knows I could use the exposure to stuff like that. My writing- if you haven't noticed - is kinda like the morning after a drunken craze; you KNOW your underwear are somewhere in the room but they are masked by all the junk. That's how my writing feels. lol

Oh! Your graphics are so fun! I have thought about putting graphics and animations and stuff in my posts but I can never seem to find where they are all hiding. Don't say google, cause I have tried and it has spanked my hinder. haha If it doesn't start to shape up I am gonna start using yahoo. *facepalm* There goes more of the rambling.

As for book reviews, I say that Monday and Wednesday are great days. Monday especially. I haven't seen any good memes for Monday, so you should be free and clear to post a review. :) Wednesdays I think I just found a meme for that but I'm not sure. *shrug* Go with Monday and Wednesday. That's my final answer.

What kind of changes are you looking to make to the blog this week? Is it merely putting up a page or is it adding graphics and stuff? I can't wait to see the changes!

Thanks for stopping by my place earlier and leavin some love. Can't wait to see what else you come up with. :) Following you back.

  3. Devoting a day or two to reviews is a great idea! As an author, I simply do reviews when I actually get through a book. I envy these book bloggers who get through several a week! I'm lucky to do 2 a month! Anyway, best of luck to ya! New follower via GFC! :D
